Business Impact
Business Impact
The website attracted a total of 12,000 visitors in the first few months after its launch. Over time, it helped her grow her business in the area, and she is now the Staff Psychotherapist at Stevens Institute of Technology. I recently reconnected with her, and she shared that her business is expanding, now I’m working on a new project with her.

After a few meetings, I did some research on other therapy websites. Ellen wishes the website to be clean, simple, and calming, so I presented her with a mood board to ensure we were aligned on the style and direction.

Edit 1: Client wants to avoid sending the message that mental therapy is equal to psychopathy or mental illness. Instead, client wants to emphasize that her sessions are about helping people discover their inner strength, focusing more on a journey of self-discovery.

Edit 2: Viewers should feel calm and peaceful while browsing the page, so maintaining a clean design, utilizing white space usage and an easy-to-read layout would be ideal.

After our discussion, my client suggested using a serif font as the primary and sans-serif for the body text. For the color scheme, I offered her with a variety of options to choose from.

The client requested that the website be built on Squarespace, as she had already subscribed to their payment plan. Even after the website was launched, our work continues as we explore ways to optimize SEO settings and keyword searches to maximize her business’s online exposure.
