With Character Creator 4, I can quickly model my characters and render high-quality images for After Effects. These models are already rigged and fully ready for animation and posing, which saves me a lot of time.

The style of the film is to recreate the retro, black-and-white comic book horror aesthetic. To achieve this, I used Photoshop to render all the layers and used some reference images to build the backgrounds.

I used Character Creator 4 to set up my character’s poses, then stylized every layers in Photoshop and animated the sequence in After Effects.

Sound design plays a huge role in this project. Composing each scene in Premiere and balancing the dialogue with the right sound effects really helped set the tone of the film, creating an unsettling and isolated feel that keeps the viewer more engaged with the story.

The film was originally planned to release in October 2024, but given the short period of time, I decided to continue polishing the project and take the time to rework some of the animations and add more voice lines, so the final release is still to be determined. However, I was able to release a short portion of the movie for Halloween.
